Learn how to save and access files on a USB memory stick directly from ipad or iphone without using a computer

This article is actually about a gadget that I recently discovered in the cyber space that allows you to play any CD or DVD on your ipad or iphone wirelessly without a computer. It also has a cool option of connecting your USB drive wirelessly to your ipad or iphone and thus save or retrieve files and bypass the crazy ritual of iTunes synchronization. What is even more exciting is the fact that you can also burn data on a recordable DVD or a CD straight from your ipad or iphone.

Before we get started you will need the following things:

1. Samsung Smart Hub DVD drive
2. Samsung Smart Hub Mobile app
3. ipad or iphone
4. wifi internet router with internet connection
5. USB memory drive

Now, let us start by setting up the DVD drive on our network. The device actually creates its own wifi network and allows you to access internet through it and gives you the opportunity to stream any DVD or CD (except blue-ray) to not only your ipad or iphone but any wifi capable smartphone, laptop, desktop or tablet. It has a USB port that can accommodate a USB memory stick that you can access on the network.

Ok after setting up the DVD drive on your network download the smart hub mobile app from iTunes.

Make sure your ipad is connected to this new network that you created and not your existing wifi.

Make sure that the Ethernet port of the DVD drive is connected to the Ethernet port of your router so that your DVD network gets the internet connection. This is initially important as the devise has to be registered upon its first use.

Open the smart hub app and complete the registration process.

Plug in your USB pen drive in to your Samsung DVD drive.

In the app click on 'photo backup' or 'smart backup'. Follow the further instructions on the ipad and choose the photos that you want to save to your USB drive.

This app also allows you to burn your ipad files and photos on a recordable DVD or a CD

So, basically you will be able to do most of the things on your ipad now for which you needed a computer.

Even though the DVD drive is made to function without an ethernet connection however for good results I recommend that you keep the DVD drive connected to the Ethernet all the time.
